Follow The Directions

01

Step

Prepare Wasabi Aioli: In a small, zippered food storage bag, combine wasabi paste, soy sauce, and mayonnaise. Gently massage the bag to thoroughly combine ingredients. Taste and adjust the amount of wasabi to your preference. Seal the bag and refrigerate until ready to use. (5 minutes)

02

Step

Shape the Sushi Cups: Place approximately 1/8 cup of cooked and cooled sushi rice into each of 8 silicone muffin cups. Using damp fingertips, firmly press the rice into the bottom and up the sides of each cup, creating a small well in the center. Refrigerate for at least 20 minutes to allow the rice to firm up. (25 minutes)

03

Step

Assemble the Cups: When ready to serve, fill each rice cup with matchstick carrots, matchstick cucumbers, and thawed edamame. Arrange one shrimp half on top of each filled cup. (10 minutes)

04

Step

Garnish and Serve: Snip off a tiny corner of the wasabi aioli bag and carefully drizzle the aioli over the top of each sushi cup. Sprinkle with black sesame seeds, if desired. Serve immediately with pickled ginger on the side. (5 minutes)

For the best results, ensure the sushi rice is very sticky to hold its shape. If you don't have a silicone muffin pan, lightly grease a regular muffin pan to prevent sticking.
Feel free to customize the fillings with your favorite sushi ingredients, such as avocado, mango, or different types of seafood.
Prepare the wasabi aioli and rice ahead of time to streamline the assembly process.
